[Blog] Peace and peaceful living on Planet Earth

The planet is moving constructively ahead, with all States and people acting to seriously combat climate change and global warming, backed by the thousands of local initiatives in favor of ecological lifestyles. Including us in tiny Mauritius with hundreds of positive actions, working in favor of sustainable lifestyles, as well as our new MAURITIUS 2050 VISION project.

And preparing, with the return of Chagos to Mauritius, the completion of decolonization and justice for our Chagossian brothers and sisters.

Unfortunately, like never before, dark forces with the unwitting help of modern technology, have led us from conflicts to war, back to the dark ages of killing other humans for no reason, except sectoral gains.

Yet we, the nations of this Planet, have adopted the Universal Declaration of HUMAN RIGHTS, which states under its first Article: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood”.

Facing the wars in UKRAINE, in SUDAN, in GAZA, and the internal denial of human rights in AFGHANSITAN and elsewhere. We must all agree and learn right now to solve conflicts THROUGH DIALOGUE AND NEGOCIATIONS, not missiles and guns. We need FACILITATORS and NEGOCIATORS to call together the parties at war, to explore and find solutions (like the 2-State Solution for Israel and Palestine), to stop the killing and start to rebuild.

Just a note to share with you the hope of Christmas with the message “Love one another”. Let’s join hands in whatever small way we can to bring Peace and peaceful living to all families, communities, and nations on our unique Planet Earth, for 2026 and beyond. Health and happiness be yours!
